Parents – Congrats to the athletes how qualified for the State meeting following a top 8 finish at the Sectional meet. For the Girls team please congratulate Grace Artis who qualified in the Shot Put and Discus. Congrats to the our boys 4×100 (Johnny, Reggie, Aaron and Tyson) relay team, 4×400* (Aaron, Reggie, Josh and Michael)* relay team and Tyson Spears who qualified in the 100M, 200M and Long Jump.

The Girls State is this weekend in Albany, Ga. Grace will compete on Friday. We wish her all the best. The Boys State will be next Thursday through Saturday in Jefferson, Ga.

Final results will be posted for all the athletes once both meets conclude.

• Gold Level – Athlete ticket plus 2 additional tickets
• Silver Level – Athlete ticket plus 1 additional ticket
• Bronze Level – Athlete ticket only

If you did not join the Booster Club, you will need to purchase an Athlete ticket.

You will not receive an actual ticket. There will be a check-in table at the Banquet.

Please RSVP by Monday May 11 by completing the ‘2015 Track & Field Banquet’ form in the Links menu. Reservations are required for everyone. Please RSVP even if your athlete can not attend.

Parents – what an exciting Region Championship on Friday. The boys team just missed out on their 4th straight Region title, however they did not go down without a fight. The girls team had a strong showing as well. Both teams did exceptionally well. The vast majority ran/jump/threw their best marks of the season. We had a few school records set that are worthy of note:

• Boys 4×100 – 41.98 – Johnny Kwatang, Reggie White, Aaron Goodwin, Tyson Spears
• Boys 100m – 10.42 – Tyson Spears
• Boys Long Jump – 23’ 0” – Tyson Spears

Several members of the team qualified to move on to the State Qualifier this upcoming weekend at McEachern. The top 4 athletes and relays per event qualified. Results below:
