Fulton County Championship Meet Results

14 boys and girls teams from across Fulton County competed across two days (Saturday and Monday)of competition at Westlake High School to determine the best track teams in Fulton County.

Saturday’s competition included field event finals, some running finals and preliminary heats. Monday concluded the meet with finals in most running events and an awards ceremony which crowned the boys team as Fulton County champions and the girls team as the 3rd place team. The boys scored in 15 out 16 events totaling 116 points to outdistance second place Westlake by 30 points. The girls totaled 68 points finishing behind Alpharetta and Westlake.

Highlights of the meet included:

  • Amber Lewis broke her own school record established in 2011 in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.46 seconds while placing second in the finals. In addition, Amber won the 300 hurdles with a near school record time of 43.32 seconds (.39 seconds from the record established in 1998).
  • The boys 4X400 meter relay team reset the school record established this year at the Roswell Relays with a time of 3:20.15 placing second with the team of Madison Evans, Colin Tealing, Jonathan Garner and Obos Ikpefan. Their time is .15 seconds away from a “US First Team Elite” standard.
