The girls and boys varsity teams competed in the Jerry Arnold Georgia Challenge on Saturday against 27 teams from the extended metro Atlanta area at Mill Creek High School.
The teams took full advantage of the first favorable weather thus far in the season to post numerous PR’s and season best times and distances.
The girls team completed the day in 5th place while the boys finished in 7th place, both behind the champion Mill Creek team.
The highlight of the meet was Peyton Thomas finishing second in the 3200 meter run and breaking her own school record with a time of 11:15.47.
Congratulations to Peyton and all the athletes. Go Hornets!
