Recruiting Seminar - March 23, 2015

Posted by Marvin Spears on Mar 17 2015 at 10:33PM PDT

Parents – There will be a Recruiting Seminar on Monday March 23rd at 7:30 pm in the RHS cafeteria. We have received some excellent reviews from other schools that are posted below of how effective and informative the seminar was.

""I have had several positive responses from our coaches, parents, and student athletes after they attended last night’s seminar “Guiding the College-Bound Athlete.” Our parents definitely have a greater understanding as to their role in the recruiting process. Rick Wire shared lessons learned from personal experiences when his son, Coy, was playing high school football and trying to earn a college scholarship. The family was successful, as Coy earned a scholarship to Stanford and played for nine years in the NFL! The seminar information is useful and valuable to parents. Topics include taking a realistic approach to the recruiting process as well as the parent’s role in promoting a student athlete. Coy’s segment of the seminar addressed ways to separate yourself from other student athletes, goal-setting, and social media. Please contact Rick if you are interested in this providing this seminar at your school. We had over 300 in attendance!"

“Last evening Alpharetta Athletics had the privilege of hosting Rick and Coy Wire of Dynamite Sports. Rick and Coy, a father and son team from Central Pennsylvania, have created the recruiting seminar “Guiding the College Bound Athlete.” This very honest and informative seminar educates coaches, students and parents on the eligibility processes associated with the NCAA as well as the NAIA and the realities of college athletic scholarship. Having gone through the process themselves, Rick and Coy present their own story of success, Coy making an early commitment to Stanford as a Junior at Cedar Cliff High School and them completing a nine year career in the NFL with the Bills and the Falcons. I would like to personally recommend this seminar to all of you as a no pressure, highly informative speaking event that you, your coaches and your student athletes will benefit greatly from. I have now been able to see their presentation twice, each time learning more and becoming more and more impressed with their candor and professionalism. "

Alpharetta Coaches in attendance at last evenings event said:
“this is the best professional development we have had in years”
“this seminar should be mandatory for all high school athletes, period.”
I believe the parents and students in attendance were equally impressed. Please see a brief message below from Mr. Wire and do consider reaching out to him to schedule your seminar today.
